Yvette, a Los Angeles native, is a mother of three with two stepchildren. Her goal is to see all her children become homeowners by age 30.

 

Her journey into real estate began in 1996 after a frustrating experience buying her first home with six inexperienced agents. This ordeal motivated her to obtain her real estate license.

 

In 1997, she joined ReMax in Inglewood, California. By 2000, Yvette had her broker's license and established a small Los Angeles office with four agents. In 2007, with the market downturn, she shifted to property management. However, her passion for assisting buyers and sellers brought her to Keller Williams Realty in 2014.

 

Yvette has been an instructor, teaching courses required for a California real estate license. Over 25 years, she's worked with buyers, sellers, and investors. Her philosophy is client education, backed by various real estate certifications.

 

She now leads a team, including her husband, Darrell Hitchens. Yvette advises buyers to start where they are, using Southern California's property appreciation to build equity for future investments.

Growing up in a military family, Yvette witnessed the value of VA home loans. In 1989, she and her siblings inherited their father's VA-financed home, making her a homeowner and landlord at 23. By 30, she owned a second property as a single parent.

 

Yvette's team has given back almost $100,000 through the Homes for Heroes program, supporting buyers and sellers in their journey to homeownership.
